1. Budget macro keyboard

   Having fun making a budget macro keyboard from an old USB numberpad and remapping keys using Karabiner Elements app.

2. Don’t mistake platforms for people

   I responded to a post on LinkedIn asking for advice for making the experience more endurable. While I was writing it a few of pennies dropped about social networks.

3. Custom OS experiment

   After listening to various podcasts featuring @pluralistic@mamot.fr and his last few DEFCON talks, I’ve very temped to install the de-Googled OS https://e.foundation/ on my Fairphone to prove to myself and others that there is an alternative the status quo.

4. Cory Doctorow - DEF CON 32 - Disenshittify or die! How hackers can seize the means of computation

   A fantastic ~50 min teardown of the what, how and why behind big tech companies are taking a shit on the internet. This talk gave me hope for a better future!

5. Billionaires spare parts

   I motion that these billionaires be dismantled for use as spare parts. All in favour?

6. Coworking day at Brighton Projects Beach

   Spending a day at the gorgeous Brighton Projects Beach coworking space with @alpower@mastodon.social before heading off to UXup meetup.
