1. The state of this browser!

   My system memory is full thanks to having ~100 browser tabs open. Thinking about creating a collection on my website to dump them all and calling it The state of this browser!

3. Climate Fresk workshop at Lewes Climate Hub

   I spent my Saturday afternoon taking part in a Climate Fresk workshop hosted by the brilliant Lewes Climate Hub. So much to digest and think about. I can’t wait to play again.

   

4. Indiekit is up!

   I finally found some time to get @paulrobertlloyd’s Indiekit – https://getindiekit.com/ – up and running on my own domain. Paul’s host recommendation of railway.app was excellent and I can’t recommend it enough, especially if you’re a n00b like me. Now back to the docs!

5. Watching the Europa Clipper launch

6. Budget macro keyboard

   Having fun making a budget macro keyboard from an old USB numberpad and remapping keys using Karabiner Elements app.

7. Don’t mistake platforms for people

   I responded to a post on LinkedIn asking for advice for making the experience more endurable. While I was writing it a few of pennies dropped about social networks. 1. Don’t mistake the platform for the people on it. 2. If we earnestly play the algorithm game and let it determine discovery, we’ll always be short-changed. 3. Perhaps a more direct approach with people might be better?

8. Custom OS experiment

   After listening to various podcasts featuring @pluralistic@mamot.fr and his last few DEFCON talks, I’ve very temped to install the de-Googled OS https://e.foundation/ on my Fairphone to prove to myself and others that there is an alternative the status quo.

9. Billionaires spare parts

   I motion that these billionaires be dismantled for use as spare parts. All in favour?

10. Coworking day at Brighton Projects Beach

    Spending a day at the gorgeous Brighton Projects Beach coworking space with @alpower@mastodon.social before heading off to UXup meetup.
