1. Trying out Kagi

   Thanks to j98@fosstodon.org I’m continuing my Big Tech Exorcism™ by trialing the independent search engine Kagi (https://kagi.com/) for 3 months. Friends don’t let friends get tracked.

2. Adding some fun things to my website

   Reading @adactio@mastodon.social’s recent Going Offline post https://adactio.com/journal/21578 reminded me that I needed to fix my /offline/ page after I ported my site from Jekyll to Eleventy. I’ve also added j98@fosstodon.org and @trys@mastodon.social’s Utopia https://utopia.fyi albeit in a very minimal implementation. Of course now I want to refactor everything about my site!

3. Adding events with Indiekit

4. I deleted all my Tweets

   I temporarily reinstated my Xitter account and used this script to delete all my Tweets https://github.com/lucahammer/tweetXer. This house is clean!

   

5. Final speaker invited to Research by the Sea

   I’ve just sent an invitation to the last speaker for Research by the Sea. I’m so excited about the 7 talks and group Q&A, 3 workshops, the 12 people (+1 back up) who will help us explore the future of research. The full line-up will be revealed over the coming weeks. 7. A reminder.

   A reminder that your community, with all of it's shades and beliefs, is the most important thing to focus on right now. Meet with people face to face and talk to them, whether you are part of their culture or not.    My system memory is full thanks to having ~100 browser tabs open. Thinking about creating a collection on my website to dump them all and calling it The state of this browser!

10. Climate Fresk workshop at Lewes Climate Hub

    I spent my Saturday afternoon taking part in a Climate Fresk workshop hosted by the brilliant Lewes Climate Hub. So much to digest and think about. I can’t wait to play again.
